Sizing and Dimensions
I usually work in three main sizes; full size, half size and small.
- Full size: 162 x 114 cm (63.78 in x 44.88 in)
- Half size: 114 x 80 cm (44.88 in x 31.50 in)
- Small size 76 x 56 cm (29.92 in x 22.05 in)
Care
The originals are drawn on Arches 300gsm paper. The artwork is flat-packed in a wooden crate. While the paper is relatively tough, the graphite itself is prone to smudging. I fix my drawings with a professional fixative to reduce smudging but it is strongly advised to take the work in its crate directly to a professional framer.
Paper
The paper I draw on is Arches Aquarelle Hot Pressed 300 gsm archival paper.. It’s a cotton-based paper with a wonderful hand feel. However, it would be best not to touch it once it’s been drawn on.
